Theoretical Glaive Functions
I was reviewing the Crimson Empire comics for reference images and was noticing the inconsistent construction of the glaive. At times both cutting edges face the same direction, at others they are oriented in opposite. Same for the fins on the emitter/pommel.

Yeah, bells are TK. In hind sight, I should have found a TB and added the ridge. I'm thinking a griddle and a similar diameter block may allow me to fix this. If not, perhaps a body filler and a lot of contour sanding.

Sitching Groover is the tool you are looking for. That will give the best consistent groove because it has a "fense" of sort to keep the groove a set distance from the edge. Leather craft stores will carry these. There is sometimes a larger or smaller groover, the one I used cuts about a 3/32-ish ...
