The helmet as it is today, after a rough cut.
Before I smooth out the edges & paint it flat black, I'd like to have some opinions about the amount of cut.
Enough or should I ...

First, what material should shin straps be ? Leather, elastic, nylon, cotton ? Or does it really matter.

Second, are visible side straps between chest & backplates allowed ?

And third, besides fabric shoulder straps, should there be hard "armor" shoulder straps above them too ?

I think I'm going to redo these afterall, just to make ones that taper a bit more downwards.
Like the ones in the pic below. The ones I made look a little bit too bulky in my eye. The difference is small but it still bugs me :?

It's been awhile but here's latest version of the shins.
I think I have to trim them a little bit from the back edge.

Actually, this was discussed amongst the command staff and the final decision was to include the shoulder ridge as referenced by LT. This will be the only acceptable version of the shoulder bells going forward and the CRL's are in the process of being updated to include this.

On behalf of my wife Elina, a question about shins.
I am the one who's doing the armor parts for her Shadow Guard.

According to CRL, shins should reflect the style of Jango Fett shins.
Am I on the right track with these shins. They are loaners but I can get the same ones in black easily ...

Are red leather boots acceptable for Royal Guard ?

CRL says (for ROTJ & ROTS Guard) that black leather / synth leather boots are acceptable as a minimum due to the difficulty in acquiring red boots.
Does that mean red leather is acceptable too or should red boots always be suede ...
