My Rubies was approved with no modification. Mine is like "ultimate collectors edition" or something like that, but still, just pulled out of the box and put it on, nothing more.

I agree that it looks like the material is the issue and that's what bothers me. The person who made it says it's Velveteen, though I'm too ignorant about materials to confirm that. The person I have that will remake my robes is far more trustworthy than the last person and is willing to use Velvet ...

I have an approved ROTS Royal Guard, inner and outer robes are Velveteen. However, after 2 troops and 1 dry cleaning the velveteen is falling apart. I'm having new robes made, but I need to be 100% sure I get it right this time. I certainly can't remake these robes every month or two.

So, I've got a Rubies Royal Guard Helmet and it was dropped on my 2nd troop. Happily, the only damage is a crack in the visor. It's usable as is, really, but I want to replace the visor.
