Stay away from the guard fabric from Rubies. The helmet should be fine it's similar to a Don Post helmet. I got them confused earlier.

I wrap mine in my old cloak and stuff a towel in between the helmet and the sides of my tote. I still haven't had any problems with my helmet being damaged.
