Sounds like you are making great progress on your force pike. As for the serrated rasp, maybe plastic pyramid studs will work? You can carefully glue them to a cylindrical base and then paint the entire thing. I'm really surprised someone hasn't 3-D printed the ROTJ Royal Guard's Force Pike rasp yet.

I good inner robe pattern that I used was McCalls Pattern M2060.

The red suede (ROTJ) and red leather gloves that they now have pictured don't have lines on the back of the hand. They both look acceptable to me.
